Sponsorship Explained

You can have exposure to an audience of approximately 5,000 in one day, providing the opportunity to reach families, decision-makers, and consumers.
How You Make a Difference
Since its inception 26 years ago, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has become one of the most respected and recognized leaders in the fight against breast cancer. Worth Magazine has named Susan G. Komen for the Cure one of America’s 100 Best Charities.

The annual Shreveport-Bossier Komen Race For the Cure® is the Shreveport-Bossier Affiliate’s signature event and main fundraiser.

Up to 75% of the money raised through the Race and other Affiliate events remains in northwest Louisiana. The Komen Shreveport-Bossier Affiliate has awarded more than $1,009,995 in grants to local organizations to fund breast cancer education and screening. Thousands of women and men are receiving the life saving message of early detection through Komen outreach efforts.

In addition, the Komen Shreveport-Bossier Affiliate has awarded over $240,000 to the Komen Foundation Award and Research Program. In keeping with the Komen Foundation requirements, the Affiliate has kept its administrative costs below twenty-five percent of the money raised. No local money goes toward national administrative and operating expenses.
